Яна Иванилова родилась в Москве. В 1987 году окончила теоретическое отделение музыкального училища им. Октябрьской революции. Затем продолжила обучение по специальности «Академическое пение» в Российской Академии музыки им. Гнесиных (класс профессора В. Левко), в 1996 году завершила образование в аспирантуре Московской консерватории (класс профессора Н. Дорлиак). Стажировалась в Вене у И. Вамзер (сольное пение) и П. Берне (музыкальная стилистика) и в Монреале у Мари Девалюи.
Яна Иванилова – лауреат международного конкурса им. Шнайдера-Трнавского (Словакия, 1999 г.), обладатель специального приза за партию Виолетты («Травиата» Дж. Верди) на конкурсе в Кошице (Словакия, 1999 г.). Награждена медалью «За вклад в развитие музыкального искусства».
С 1994 по 1999 год Я. Иванилова – солистка Московского театра «Новая опера», где пела ведущие партии (Мария Стюарт в одноименной опере Доницетти, Лукреция в «Двое Фоскари» Верди и др.), с 2010 года – приглашённая солистка Большого театра.
Певица сотрудничает с ансамблями старинной музыки «Мадригал», «Академия старинной музыки», «Орфарион»,участвует в европейских фестивалях, активно концертирует по России, гастролировала в США и Канаде.
Я. Иванилова выступала с концертами на сценах Большого зала консерватории, залов Московской филармонии и Международного Дома музыки в Москве, зала «Плейель» и «Юнеско» в Париже, «Виктория холл» в Женеве, Вестминстерского аббатства в Лондоне, театра «Миллениум» в Нью-Йорке, «Студии Глена Гульда» в Торонто.Сотрудничала с известными музыкантами, среди которых Е. Светланов, В. Федосеев, М. Плетнев, В. Спиваков,А.Борейко, С. Сондецкис, Е. Колобов, А. Рудин, А. Любимов, Б. Березовский, К. Нагано, Р. Бонинг, А.Коробейников. Принимала участие в премьерах сочинений Л. Десятникова и в мировых премьерах восстановленных опер Б. Галуппи («Король-пастух»), Дж. Сарти («Эней в Лацио»), А. Алябьева («Лунная ночь»), в российской премьере оперы Т. Траэтты «Антигона».
Репертуар певицы огромен и охватывает почти всю историю музыки. Это ведущие партии в операх Моцарта, Глюка, Перселла, Россини, Верди, Доницетти, Гретри, Пашкевича, Чайковского, Соколовского, Люлли, Рамо, Монтеверди, Гайдна, Генделя, Лёве, Алессандро и Пьетро Скарлатти, а также партии сопрано в «Военном реквиеме» Бриттена, 8-й симфонии Малера, «Колоколах» Рахманинова, «Missa Solemnis» Бетховена, «Stabat Mater» Дворжака, «Страсти по Матфею» Баха, «Сотворение мира» Гайдна и многих других сочинениях кантатно-ораториального жанра.
Особое место в творчестве Я. Иваниловой занимает камерное музицирование, в том числе песенные монографические программы русских композиторов: Чайковского, Рахманинова, Метнера, Танеева, Алябьева, Глинки, Алябьев, Даргомыжского, Мусоргского, Аренского, Балакирева, Римского-Корсакова, Катуара, Черепнина, Ляпунова, Голованова, Гурилёва, Варламова, Козловского, Шостаковича, Б. Чайковского, В. Гаврилина, В. Сильвестрова, а также мировой классики – Шуберта, Шумана, Моцарта, Гайдна, Вольфа, Брамса, Дебюсси, Форе, Дюпарка, Де Фальи, Беллини, Россини, Доницетти, Сибелиуса, Грига.
Дискография певицы включает романсы Н. Метнера с пианистом Б. Березовским («Mirare», Бельгия), вокальный цикл «Ступени» В. Сильвестрова совместно с А. Любимовым («Меgadisk», Бельгия), оперу «Эней в Лацио» Дж. Сарти («Воngiovanni», Италия), совместные записи с ансамблем «Орфарион» под управлением О. Худякова («Орus 111» и «Vista Vera»), Восьмую симфонию Малера» с дирижёром Е. Светлановым («Русские сезоны»), романсы Н. Метнера с Екатериной Державиной и Хемишем Милном («Vista Vera»), первую запись романсов Григория Катуара с Анной Засимовой (AntesEdition, Германия, 2013), записи концертов французским телеканалом Mezzo на фестивале «La Folle Journee» 38 опуса романсов С. Рахманинова с А. Коробейниковым и «Колоколов» Рахманинова с Уральским симфоническим оркестром под управлением Дм. Лисса.
